Receiving & Storage

Receiving Dock: We apply and scan bar codes upon receipt for real-time trackability and process flow. Our quality inspectors ensure that products meet your specifications.

Quality Assurance: Our inbound quality inspections ensure that products meet your quality specifications.

Inventory Control System: Our RF technology provides real-time control from initial receipt to final shipment.

Storage: Our high density pallet storage is cost and space efficient. Our operations are designed to handle many different types of products.

Turret Trucks: Wire-guided, narrow aisle turret trucks help protect products from damage and improve productivity.

Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV's): Our fleet of AGV's efficiently move product throughout our 650,000 square foot facility.

Pick & Pack

A-Frame: Our A-frame is used for high-volume items, substantially increasing productivity and accuracy.

Pick-to-Light System: The pick-to-light systems require minimal labor expense and improve picking accuracy.

Checkweigh System: An in-line scale verifies package weights, comparing the database weight for all items with the actual weight. Orders not within the weight tolerance are audited for accuracy.

Picklines: The main product selection areas contain thousands of SKUs, linked by conveyor to our sortation operation.

Sortation System: Our sortation process uses a tilt-tray sorter to ensure customer orders are packaged in the fewest number of cartons, significantly reducing shipping costs.

Packing Stations: These packing stations are fed by our tilt-tray sortation system, and our information systems even provide us with the most efficient carton sizes.

Conveyor: Our seven miles of conveyor move product efficiently and damage-free throughout the Access distribution system.

Replenishment: Our real-time RF (radio frequency) system ensures accurate control of inventory from receipt to shipment.

Shipping

Manifest System: Responsible for recording package information, our in-line scale is certified by parcel carriers, including UPS and USPS, for efficient and accurate invoicing.

Shipping Sorter: Passing through our automated manifest system, cartons are sorted to the appropriate shipping chutes.

Shipping Lanes: These shipping chutes are the last line in our picking system. Trailers from this facility in Ada, Michigan, are sent throughout the US for small parcel delivery. Many are sent on line hauls for zone-skipping, which lowers shipping costs and provides quicker delivery.
